คริสตจักรเแอ๊ดเวนตีสในภาคพื้นเอเซียแปซิฟิกใต้ เป็นชุมชนที่มีผู้คนมากกว่า 1.8 ล้านคน ที่กำลังเข้าถึงประชากรมากกว่่าหนึ่งพันล้านคน ในดินแดนนี้ที่อุดมไปด้วยวัฒนธรรมมากมาย คำนวณแล้ว จะได้สัดส่วนแอ๊ดเวนตีส 1 คน ต่อทุกๆ 623 คน ในบริบทนี้ คริสตจักรแอ๊ดเวนตีสจะสามารถถ่ายทอด ถึงข่าวสารแห่งความหวัง การรักษาและความรัก อย่างมีประสิทธิผลได้อย่างไร ตัวอย่างของพระเยซูในการสร้างสาวก ตามแนวคิดของการเกษตรเป็นแรงบันดาลใจที่ดี คือควรเริ่มต้นด้วยการบำรุงดินผ่านมิตรภาพ และการรับใช้ แล้วค่อยเพาะเมล็ดพันธุ์แห่งความจริงผ่านวรรณกรรม สื่อต่างๆและคำเชิญชวนให้เข้ามามีส่วนร่วม เราควรบำรุงเลี้ยงความสนใจผ่านทาง การศึกษาพระคัมภีร์อย่างต่อเนื่อง ควรทำให้มีเวลาสำหรับการเก็บเกี่ยว เราควรยอมรับและเฉลิมฉลอง การเดินทางแห่งความเชื่อของแต่ละคน จากนั้นควรจะเรียกพวกเขาให้ติดตามพระเยซู เราตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการเก็บเกี่ยว จึงตั้งใจ เลี้ยงดูและฝึกอบรมให้ทุกคนเติบโตขึ้นทางจิตวิญญาณ

แนวคิดเกี่ยวกับการเป็นสาวกของพระเยซูคือ มุ่งเน้นที่ต้องถ่ายทอดส่งต่อความเชื่อ ให้คำปรึกษาผู้อื่น และเสริมสร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้เขา พระเยซู ตรัสว่า “จงไปสั่งสอนชนทุกชาติให้เป็นสาวก” นี้ไม่ใช่เพียงโครงการหนึ่ง หากแต่เป็นทั้งพันธกิจและวิถีชีวิต คือการรวบรวมบุคคลที่มีความคิดเป็นอันหนึ่งอันเดียวกัน ซึ่งเต็มใจที่จะออกไปหาผู้อื่น มอบความหวังให้แก่ผู้ที่แสวงหา และเรียนรู้ที่จะสร้างสาวกโดยใช้วิถีเดียวกันที่พระเยซูเคยใช้

คาดหวังได้ว่าการทำเช่นนี้จะสร้างผลลัพธ์แห่งการเปลี่ยนแปลง ที่เกิดขึ้นได้ในเขตเมือง ชุนชนที่เจริญรุ่งเรือง และท้ายที่สุด จะทำให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงเชิงบวกในระดับโลก ขอให้ทุกคนยอมรับความท้าทายนี้และทำงานอย่างขยันขันแข็งต่อไป โดยการรับแรงบันดาลใจจากวิธีการของพระเยซูเอง ผ่านความพยายามของเราทุกคน จะเห็นว่าเมืองต่างๆ และโลกทั้งโลกจะเปลี่ยนแปลงไป ทีละคนๆ

The Adventist Church in the Southern Asia Pacific Division is a community of over 1.8 million people reaching out to a population of more than a billion in this culturally rich territory. Do the math: that’s one Adventist for every 623 individuals within this context. How can the Adventist Church effectively convey the message of hope, healing, and love? Jesus’ example of making disciples based on the concept of farming is inspiring. This begins by nurturing the soil through friendship and service, planting seeds of truth through literature, media, and invitations to establish engagement. One should cultivate interests through continuous Bible studies, making time for the harvest, acknowledge and celebrate each individual’s faith journey, and then bid them to follow Jesus. We recognize the importance of harvest by providing nurture and training to support spiritual growth.

Jesus’ concept of discipleship is committed to passing on the thoughts of faith, mentoring others, and leaving a mark of inspiration. Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations.” This is not a program but a mission that should be lived by. Bring together like-minded individuals who are willing to reach beyond themselves, extending hope to those who seek it, and learning to make disciples in the manner of Jesus.

This anticipates the transformative outcomes that can happen in urban areas, thriving communities, and ultimately, a positive change on a global scale. Embrace this challenge and continue to work diligently, drawing inspiration from the approach of Jesus himself. Through collective efforts,witness how cities transform and the world changes, one life at a time.
